Prof. Skalac brings her strong passion for high-quality science education into her classroom. She teaches courses in Physical Science for Elementary Teachers and Earth and Space Science for Elementary Teachers designed to meet the needs of students majoring in elementary education. In these courses, students prepare and assemble materials that they take with them for their future careers. ONU's program produces teachers who are prepared to acquire their science endorsement, which offers them a strong competitive advantage in the job market.
Prof. Skalac also assists in advising students who are majoring in Secondary Science Education and plan on careers teaching High School science. Her experience, wisdom, and passion for science education is an excellent source of assistance to students majoring in these fields. While completing the Masters Degree program in Olivet Nazarene University's School of Graduate and Adult Studies, Priscilla worked as a graduate teaching assistant in the Physical Sciences Department at ONU. Afterward, she joined the department full time.
