Dr. Max Reams is Chair of the Department of Phyiscal Sciences. He teaches courses in Physical and Historical Geology, Physical Geography, Sedimentology and Stratigraphy, and Paleontology. He is an excellent teacher and is always infused with enthusiasm. His research background is mainly in the sub-disciplines of Geomorphology and Sedimentology, where he has done extensive research dealing with caves and the processes that occur within them.

He and his wife, Carol, who both have master’s degrees in counseling, are very active in relationship and marriage counseling. Over the years they have enjoyed opening their home to college students throughout the school year for parties and study breaks. Students look forward to these, because there is always a never-ending supply of fun times and great food!
