Wiener, Norbert (1894 - 1964)

Norbert Wiener was an American mathematician and philosopher. A professor at MIT Wiener worked in the area of Stochastic Processes. Several results are named in his honor including the Wiener equation, a mathematical representation of Brownian motion, and the Wiener filter which reduces the noise in a signal.
