Poincare, Henri (1854 - 1912)

Poincare was a French mathematician and physicist. He may be bext known for formulating the Poincare confecture, which was finally resolved in 2003. He worked in both pure and applied mathematics as well as mathematical physics. He contributed to the three-body problem and is one of the founders of the field of topology.
