Jingrun, Chen (1933 - 1996)

Jingrun was a Chinese mathematician who worked in the area of number theory. In 1966 he proved what is now known as Chen's theorem when he showed that every sufficiently large even number can be written as the sum of a prime and a semiprime (the product of two primes). He also worked on the twin prime conjecture and Goldbach's conjecture.
