Brouwer was a Dutch mathematician and philosopher who worked in topology, set theory, meausre theory and complex analysis.He is considered to be the founder of the mathematical philosophy of intuitionism, where mathematics is considered to be completely the result of human thought rather than discovered fundamental principles that exist outside of human develpment.
