Bolzano, Bernard (1781 - 1848)

Bohemian mathematician, logician, philisopher and theologian who made several significant contributions to mathematics, particularly in the area of mathematical analysis. The Bolzano-Weierstrass theorem, initially proved by Bolzano, but later proved independently by Weierstrass, may be his best known result.
