FAST FACTS

Greetings in the name of Jesus! As Chair, my first and foremost prayer is that you be obedient to God and that you give Him full leadership in your life. If we submit to Him then He will fight the battle, provide the time and money, restore relationships, and lend His wisdom to sort through tough times and strange situations. My second prayer is for you to be tremendous nurses and community members. I pray for your knowledge base to grow continually stronger as a nurse, your wisdom and judgment to develop more deeply and accurately, and your decisions to result in the very best of patient outcomes. I believe I speak for all of the faculty members that we long to see you thrive spiritually, personally, and academically while you are here and that we hope to relate well with you and each other. I pray that faculty demonstrate a fully collegial and humble approach in their teaching and your learning, and treat you as their nursing peer. Know too that we as faculty assume your eagerness to learn is as true as your eagerness is for your patients to improve and go home. Should you experience any difficulties in your course work, be assured of our true desire for your success and approach us with confidence. As your sister in Christ, please know that He has put a passion in my heart for you and I pray to serve you and Him well!

Thank you for choosing ONU as your place of learning. I will strive to lower any obstacles or frustrations that would interfere with a positive experience. Like any continuous quality improvement process, we need to hear your prayerful, honest, and hopefully tactful feedback regarding your experience and quality of education here in your end of course, midpoint, and final program evaluation. We will use your suggestions, constructive criticisms, and themes to revise and plan accordingly.

May you sense the Lord’s leadership helping you in the largest, smallest, and deepest of ways, and may you give Him your complete and utter trust and obedience in life’s details. May He organize and strengthen you, focus you, help you, and cause you success. I pray He blesses you in your studies, home, work, and albeit sparse, play lives. Please know that we are proud of your growth and are confident that God will bless your efforts and hard work.

Love in Christ,
Prof. Draine
