1. I hate conflict. If I can find a way to avoid it, I will.

2. Conflict is such a hassle. I’d just as soon let the other person have his or her way so as to keep the peace.

3. You can’t just let people walk over you. You’ve got to fight to establish your point of view.

4. I’m willing to negotiate to see if the other person and I can meet halfway.

5. I’m willing to explore the similarities and differences with the other person to see if we can solve the problem to both our satisfaction.

Avoidance. You may want to learn how to confront your problems. It will be tough, but worth it

Accommodation. Look to the text to help you work on becoming more assertive.
