Exams are not fun for most people. But there are strategies for handling them. Check the following statements that are true. If you are on the fence about a statement, check it off. In addition, if you’d like more practice or information about the topic in the statement, mark off the statement.

1. I never can figure out what sorts of questions are going to be on a test.

2. I don’t know of any specific techniques for improving my chances for success on a test.

3. I get extremely anxious before a test.

4. I don’t know of any special ways to handle objective (true-false, multiple choice) test questions.

5. I’m awful at answering essay questions.

6. After I get back a test, I usually toss it.

7. I hate to admit this, but I’ve cheated or been tempted to cheat in college.

8. In the past, I have crammed for a test and gotten away with it.

9. When other people cheat, I don’t do anything about it.
