So, you’re thinking about buying a computer. Answer the following questions to develop your purchase plan:

What do you want the computer for? Will you only be using it for school or for personal or business use as well?

What kind of hardware and software do you need?

What sort of "extras" such as a fax machine, zip drive, etc. would you like?

Do you think you would prefer an Apple-type computer or IBM-type computer? Why?

What is your budget for buying a computer?

What kind of financial arrangements (cash purchase, installment payments, or lease) are best for you?

What is your time frame for your purchase?

Can you think of someone who knows computers who could give you advice?
