creative ways: out of the ordinary

arrow
Being creative or mindful involves changing our regular patterns and being open to experience, such as by walking a different way to school or talking to someone you normally wouldn’t talk to. Think of three smalls things you could do this week that are out of the ordinary.

1.

2.

3.

Try to do one "out-of-the-ordinary" thing each day for a week. It could be as small as going to a local diner for lunch rather than the cafeteria or visiting a church or other building in town you are curious about. When you are on your "extraordinary adventure," experience it with mindfulness. In other words, be fully aware of where you are and what you’re seeing. If you’re in a church, look at the stained glass windows. If you’re walking a new way, negotiate your way thoughtfully.

Record for a week your creative ways:

MON

TUES

WED

THURS

FRI

SAT

SUN
