Family & Consumer Sciences

Portfolio

The faculty members in the Department of Family and Consumer Sciences require students to develop a portfolio as part of their education process. It is turned in for a grade in the senior seminar course FACS 498 Professional Issues and Actions. Students work on the portfolio for four years. It is a collection of projects and documents that represents their best work at Olivet Nazarene University. It can be used during job interviews and for application to some graduate schools. It also provides faculty with a resource to assess student progress as it demonstrates the breadth and depth of student ability.

All FACS majors should print a copy of the Portfolio Minimum Standards.
