Story: 22 -
One couple shares the gas bill with a couple they don't know on a cross-country trip to document famous murder sites...cliche tells us that a murderer is with them. The good part of this story, is that it takes the cliche and pulls you into the story, you know what will happen, but you want to experience the journey.
Acting: 28 -
Incredible acting by Brad Pitt, one of his best roles. Juliette Lewis oozes with child-like innocence, and David Duchovny shows his flexibility. Luckilly the supporting cast did not appear very often.

A clumsy start to the story in the midst of a fabulously dreary setting gets the show off to a slightly stuttering start. But it quickly recovers.
Impact: 8 -
A big cliche at the ending made me disapointed for a moment, but the fascinating part of the show is reflecting back on Duchovny's narrarion.
Modifiers: + 2 -
Brad Pitt. Shows his incredible talent in a fairly unrecognized role. He puts points here all on his own.
